Would like to hear opinions on the D.A. Greenlaw front rest tops, from anyone here that has tried one out. Planning to purchase one as an upgrade to my Caldwell.

I've had a complete Greenlaw rest w/ his top & now have a Sinclair base with one of the tops. They are very nicely made & my favorite of any adjustable bag tops I've tried.
The adjustments are butter smooth & quality of machining superb. I like the bags on these tops better than any I've tried as they are larger & if you so choose you can take a little sand out to conform to the bottom of the fore end on your stock.
Dan's great to deal with &you won't be disappointed with the top.

I have one of his tops on my PQP 1 piece rest, excellent work, and a fine man to do business with.

I am totally satisfied, NO reason for me to get anything else.
Put mine on an existing cheapie base of the right size for my kit, added a small cast iron barbell weight underneath for more weight; works Great!

Greenlaw is good to go!

I also upgraded my Caldwell rest with a Dan Greenlaw top.

Then the cast iron base cracked and I upgraded to a Sinclair base.

The top by Greenlaw is superb; smooth and trouble free. It dropped right on and has not been anything but a pleasure to use.

Dan is also very helpful and a pleasant fellow.

I recommend his stuff very highly.

How about his mariner wheel? Anyone here using that? Would like to see a pic. Wondering what advantage this style has over a solid round wheel?

They are excellent and well made with precision adjustments. Besides, Mr Greenlaw is a pleasure to talk with and is a cousin to Linda Greenlaw of the motion picture Perfect Storm.

I have the Greenlaw top, on a Caldwell base with a Sinclair speed screw, and a Protektor Bumble Bee at the rear.

It's a great setup. I just wish I could learn to shoot off a two-piece setup. Too long with a one-piece rest and too dang old to learn. Should have kept the PQPLite.

Ive considered making a plywood or plank base that locates the front rest and rear bag/rest in alignment more like a one-piece.

I have Dan Greenlaw's Adjustable Bag Top which he machined the holes on my front rest platform. I got it with the 3M slick material. I couldn't be happier with the result. I put it on an Accu-Shot 1-piece rest.

Dan is also very helpful, and makes adjustments for you when it's for the better.

Write/talk to him for advice on your needs for a front top.

Ive been tempted to try one of his tops on my Cowan rest. I wonder if he makes a direct fit for the cowan?
