single six is a little sick

i was taking apart my single six(first time ) everything went great except the hammer pin won't come out. anybody know a trick? also where would i find a lighter trigger spring for it? thanks guys.

but as to trigger pull, you can put one of the legs of the trigger spring off the pin so only one side of the trigger spring is under tension, lightens the pull.

Push down on the spring that's in the hammer pin slot as you push the pin out , it helps if you have three hands.
Bend the trigger spring legs a bit to make it lighter.

The hammer pin is held in place by one of the grip frame screws. The trigger pin is held in place by the loading gate spring. Push it down and push the pin out. Lots of used Rugers on the market with the pin and frame all boogered up from folks who didn't know how the pin was retained.

well guys i got a wolfson reduced spring kit for 12.99, installed it today! while i had the gun apart i used some steel wool and slicked up some of the roughness off it. put in the springs and it is very slick and light on the trigger!
whew! i'm happy now. now i need another project! i'm sure it will come to me!
