G'day
I wish my Anschutz liked Eley rather than Lapua, because I can buy it cheaper.
I had a couple of hours at the range today trying different ammo, but the wind got up soon after I got there .I ran a few different types of ammo through the old rifle but none of the more expensive ammo was miles better than the SK Rifle Match that up till now has been it's favourite. Now don't get me wrong the high end stuff did shoot a little better, but does it justify spending 2-3 times the price ??.
When I got home and was cleaning the rifle before putting it away ,I realised that there was movement of the action in the stock . Now I have to admit my stupidity, ( I had the action out of the stock the other day to adjust the trigger) I got interrupted while putting it back together by one of my children. The rear action screw was only just firm and the front one was started in it's thread but not tight at all.
All of today's test's mean nothing now, but it is interesting that the rifle shot OK like this.
I wonder what it will be like with the expensive ammo when everthing is done up correctly???
Thankyou for your time
