452 Scout test target pic

Just picked up this scout today...the test target was pretty decent as far as these go. Thought id post a pick...

The bolt is a little rough on this one and after i go through a couple hundred rounds of "break in" tomorrow i think i may lap the bolt... im going to use the search function but if anyone has any advice for me on this id appreciate it. Never done it before on any bolt action. Figure ill be in for it when i have to clean the compound out from the bolt right? Whats a good compound to use?

Everyone has their favorite bolt breaking in technique.
Try doing a search.
Don't worry about the factory test target. It is for function, not accuracy.

My test target was even more distressing. But, I got much tighter groups on the range right away, even though the stock is too short for me.

I thought it was decent...considering, open sites on a scout, 50 meters and just a test target. Was not disconcerting, my varmints test target was worse. Just throwing the pic out there for observation.
It always interest me when other people show there test targets...

Remmy : about the bolt being "rough", the main culprit is the top of the sear rubbing against the firing pin. When you remove the bolt from the gun you can see the flat of the firing pin with scratch mark. You can file it down, then sand it so the two pieces won't touch. You bolt will start to "glide" in and out. The other surfaces are already decent.
