Mags for Anschutz 1710

I was getting ready to order another mag for my Anschutz 1710 D HB but then I noticed I already had an extra along with one of the red single shot adapters tucked away in my case.

I had completely forgotten about both. Looking through my old gmail stuff, it appears I got them right after I ordered the rifle in August 2017.

Anyway, the mag is actually a Wisner one made for the Savage 35. I kind of recall reading these were compatible, perhaps with some modifications. Anyone know offhand just what I need to do to make it work?

I've heard mixed reviews on the Anschutz single shot things. I've also got one of the Rinardmans adapters.

Kinda wondering if maybe I should use the rinardmans adapter with the Wisner mag and just use the Anschutz branded one when I want the 5 round capability?

Any advice is welcome!

I've not found the Wisners to be worth the trouble, your idea is a good one.
