Does anyone know of any place where I can get a new or used cz 455 receiver with or without a bolt or a trigger?
I know they cannot be bought from CZ, but I find myself having a really nice Boyd's stock and a very accurate heavy fluted barrel and a timney trigger and a decent scope just sitting in the safe, so rather than barrel swapping getting my hands on a receiver makes a new gun!

I wish I did, as I'm in the same boat. A wanted ad in the classified section is all I can think of.

Best bet is a used 455 Scout and sell off everything you don't need.

In the last few years I've only seen a few come up for sale and they weren't much cheaper than buying a complete rifle. Like it's been said, find a rifle at a good price and part out what you don't need. If not, I think you may be waiting a while before you find the action by itself.

It should be, even better a used one if you can find one.

I guess I'm in the same boat. I'm waiting for a varmint barrel. I have a Tony Mele Stock and some other things. So you could do what I did. Bite the bullet and get a deal on a new Scout. You could try and sell off the left overs or just put them in stock. Nobody ever said life is easy.

Doubt if you're gonna find a used scout for less than $272.

My favorite gun store has what they call a 457 conversion kit - which is the action, bolt and trigger. It is the 457 action. Price is $324.95. PM me if you want contact information for the store. Burt

So they are just selling the complete action? Maybe they are taking old actions in trade so I will give them a call.

Not sure if these are still available or not. I found this link about a year ago, I think.

That would be a heck of a deal if they were still in stock.

Yes it would be! But they arenít. But you can buy a CZ455 for $272, pull out the action and sell off the barrel and stock for at least $150 and have $122 net .
