Freshly cut right out of the can on the passenger seat when I'm on the road. If the wife sees it in the kitchen it becomes a flying projectile at my head. I practice Don't ask, don't tell and drink something to cover Spam breath.

The spam would probably reject his sophisticated palette.

I have ate a load of spam over my lifetime and always keep a couple cans around the house 'in stock' so to speak. Me and my wife fix it most commonly 1/4" sliced and pan fried lightly with macaroni and cheese for a quick meal that I think pairs well. Also we will dice it up, light fry it, and throw it in a soft tortilla shell and melt cheese for a taco of sorts that's quite quick and delicious.

My dad fixes a killer good sandwich with fried/sliced spam, cheese, mayo, mustard, tomatoe, and toast.

I am sure there are some other killer ways I have had spam I just dont remember them off the top of my head. The bacon, smoked, peppered, and jalapeno versions are all good in my opinion fixed right.

I'm sure the spam has been cooked at a million degrees for hours in the can as part of the manufacturing process. Along will all types of glicerides and preservatives. Can't possibly be a healthy meal if it tastes good.

Now Jackson had his acorns

And Grant his precious rye;

Teddy had his poisoned beef —

Worse you couldn’t buy.

The doughboy had his hardtack

Without the navy’s jam,

But armies on their stomachs move —

And this one moves on Spam.

My Dad learned to like it when he was in the Navy during WWII.

We didn't take much food when he and I went camping/hunting when I was a kid, and we often ate Spam (if we didn't shoot something edible).

A deluxe meal was a Spam sandwich. Two 1/4" slices fried in a pan with two 1/4" slices of Jack cheese melted on top. Grilled onion slice on top of that, on toasted white with mayo. Once in a while we went nuts and added a fried egg.

I still make the same sandwich for myself maybe twice a year. I may bring the stuff to make them for me and my buddy next weekend for the quail opener here in CA.

Hickory Smoke flavor is hard to beat. Fried til just a bit crispy, with mayo. And eggs over easy.

Come to think of it, I'm hungry and I believe that'll be what's on the menu!
