Green Mountain finally has some of their 20" Sporters back in stock

Back in April I think it was I bought a GM 20" ss Sporter from Rimfire Sports. This was due to those folks being $20 cheaper and free shipping. I posted that it went in my Ruger 1264 Mannlicher and posted pics too. Well, it shoots very nicely, and looks great, as I posted. I've been waiting since April for them to get the blue 20" Sporter back in stock. I Check almost everyday at both places. Well, yesterday when I checked, no one had them, and Rimfire Sports is now on vacation for ten days.

So, today, for some reason, I checked GM and they are now in stock. They weren't yesterday. So for the bleep of it, I put one in my cart and was very surprised to see that I got a discount of $21, making it a buck or so cheaper than Rimfire Sports. Also, regular shipping is free.

No idea if it's a sale or what, but other barrels are also "discounted" to match Rimfire Sports. Note, the prices in the link below are not the discounted prices. Add the item to your cart to see what the price is.

Looks great. I'll probably be getting the 20" fluted also when it becomes available.

I put a 20" GM fluted barrel on a Rem 581 action and it shot outstanding. A very nice little Sporter, my best 5 shot group at 50 yd was .118" but constantly turned groups in between 1/4 and 3/8 inches.

FYI, This is a sale on in stock barrels only, and is for July 4, 5, and 6 2019 only! If you want one better order today or tomorrow!

Very nice. This is the pic I posted a few months ago. I'll have to do another one now that it's dressed up.

I have a 20" fluted, blued sporter on my old DSP. I like it a lot, it cut groups sizes in half compared to the factory stock barrel. That was with the plinking ammo, "good" ammo did considerably better, as it should.
The rifle balanced a lot better with the new barrel, too. I could have done without the flutes, but it doesn't hurt my feelings any, either way. It's just better than it was before.

I've been waiting for those to get back in stock too. I too have a DSP that I want to change out to the fluted model. It is the first 10/22 that I "changed over" to shoot only sv's. That helped the accuracy a wee bit, but it shoots nowhere as well as the one pictured above with the ss GM barrel.

Below is an update pic of my Ruger 1264. It is now dressed with a 6-24 Diamondback HP FFP Tactical. I also added a Kidd ss bolt lever. Someday, I'll get a ss base place, maybe. Also changed to an Atlas bipod.

Looks great. I finished putting one in Calamity's Ruger 11165. A little bit of sanding, but not too much. Will be going thru the breakin tomorrow morning early at the range. I don't quite do it like they say, but I do clean the bbl 4-5 times during the first 100 rounds.

My GM 20" sporter in a carbine stock, this is a work in progress, trying to decide whether to put it into a different stock or leave it as is, I have this one bedded and its very accurate, needs a better trigger with lighter pull as its about 2 lbs now.

Had mine at the range today. First time out. Broke it in with a box of Aguila SV. Got a little Redfield 14x on it and a JWH bolt/ handle and a Bx trigger. Zeroed at 50 in 5 shots and the other 45 , 5 shots into 9 1 inch stickers with room to spare.

Itís gonna be another shooter! I am really pleased with the GM barrels I bought from Rimfire Sports last winter. This one , the 17 in HT, and the 28 in bull and the Running Boar.

If you canít find a walnut DSP stock, S&P still has beech ins for $75.00, and Walnut Mannlicher stocks for $200. Donít forget code RFP for a 5% discount! or for something different the Tony Mele stocks are very nice., just put some new ones on eBay, under glenlvt.

As for a trigger , while the bx is fine, I have a brimstone tier 2 , and it is really nice! Sent in a Bx but havenít heard back yet.
