Walther Match Triggers - Single Stage or Two Stage?

The Walther triggers I've had the pleasure of using on KKM's, UIT Spezial's, and a KK MS were all excellent.

I always thought they were two stage triggers. I've read that some two stage triggers can be adjusted so they feel like a single stage trigger.

Are the match triggers that Walther used on KKM's and UIT's single stage or two stage?

They are 2-stage.
The adjustment info in manuals advises against adjusting the first stage out of the pull. Also, that the sear engagement screw, adjusted at the factory for optimum engagement, should not be adjusted.

I bought an old KKM recently and to my dismay it had been adjusted to single stage.

Since the levers don't move much as a single stage it was gummed up and had to be cleaned so the levers could move enough for two stage operation...Tom
