Check out the Feddersen 16" on his web site. You can get optional sights as well as threading. I think his barrel would be hard to beat.

Tacsol X-Ring with Open Sights

I have a silver finished one and really like the 15 oz. weight. It is fitted to a NoDak Spud receiver and free-floated in a Hogue OM stock. My goal was to create a very light range plinker for my wife and daughters dedicated to open sights.

How can a 16.5 inch .920 diameter steel barrel only weigh 15ozs'?
Even if it's fluted.

Their web site shows the aluminum sleeved steel lined 16.5 inch barrel a 18 oz's.

My 16inch carbon fiber Volquartsen.920 inch diameter barrel weighs 25 oz's

The Kidd Ultra Leigthweight 16.5 inch .820 diameter barrel comes in at 20 oz's.

Smooth

I think Volquartsen lists the THM at 20ozs.

The one I have is their aluminum sleeved steel lined barrel and I noticed that their website shows 18 oz., but when I received the new barrel, I weighed it on two digital food scales and they showed 15 oz. Also Midway USA shows the weight at 15 oz. and Brownell's shows the weight at .9375 lbs. (15 oz.). I don't know why Tactical Solutions shows 18 oz. for this barrel since they are the ones that make it and they should have correct info on their website. I was just sharing my experience with the OP in order to help him.
