Three SR22 questions....

Log in to see fewer ads
1). Is the TwinTech Tactical takedown latch stronger than the *upgrade* Ruger takedown latch?

2). What size o-ring should I get just as insurance (and maybe to quiet down the action during suppressed fir a bit)?
ETA: I put a #83 on it. It seems fine so far BUT there is a slight chance it contributed to a OOB bang I had tonight.

3). Am I correct that changing from a Ruger barrel to a TT voids the warranty--so I'm assuming I shouldn't sell the new TALO Black barrel to help pay for the TT barrel I got, so I can switch back if I have a problem. I only got the TT because it has the o-ring adapter for the SS Sparrow vs. The standard options.

#3: I dunno, but if you want to sell that factory barrel, let me know.

Haha. Yeah. The SR22 is so loud suppressed compared to other pistols of mine, that I'm thinking I may just sell the TT barrel and adapter...though I want to see how accurate it is first (compared to the unfired as of yet OEM black barrel).

I don't know why the Ruger SR22 is louder than other pistols (,it's almost on par with the little Beretta 21A).

I'm convinced it was either out of battery, a ruptured case (which I hadn't heard of), or both. Since much of the blast came out the back end, it came through the ejection port and was insanely loud.

My SR22 suppressed is very quiet, using standard velocity and a little louder using high vel. Would love to get my Beretta 21A threaded.

What suppressor do you have?
I have an SS Sparrow, and the SR22 is louder than a Buckmark, "new model" PPK/S, etc....the only gun as loud or louder than the SR22 is the Beretta 21A.

It's still a keeper due to its size, ergonomics and reliability--after 300rds, I may start carrying it with 13+1 now and then.
