Just wondering are most ar stocks compatable with the tapco tube shape? I thought i might be cool to upgrade my butt stock but am a little unsure of the differences in fit if any.
Looks great by the way.

Be more than happy to help you out there Friend. The TAPCO Tubes are not to size at all, way to big!! It took me about 3 and a half hours to sand down the tube for a perfect fit. It was sure worth the effort though. Thanks again for your support.

Tapco "buffer tubes" are commercial diameter, not mil-spec. I installed a Magpul CTR on mine with zero effort.

Same here, no problem fitting a commercial Magpul CTR on a Tapco Tube, simple change, no tools needet.
Very tight fit though, but i like it :-)

Peter

Smile Tacticool 10/22

Got my parts in and finished another 10/22. *This one I wanted to be tacticl/ cool. *Also wanted a threaded barrel on this one for my eventual can.

- Tapco tactical stock (bull)
- Tactical Innovations bull barrel, threaded
- Tactical Innovations trigger
- Tactical Innovations mag release
- mako grip AK 47 grip
- some cheap light i had laying aeound
- a illuminated reticle/ laser dot scope I got in a trade awhile back
- volquestran hammer
- sear/ trigger group ploished down to about 3.4 lbs of pull
- magpul AFG-*
- tactical solutions bull compensator (killer)
- rimfire custom tactical one piece chargibg handle

I need to gap-mod the place between trigger and grip, and get maybe a magpul stock. *Cant wait to shoot it.

So I got the Kidd barrel in today and installation went without any issues. This is a very nice looking barrel!

Fired one mag through to make sure it's running right. No problems.

Still some toys to buy but the base is done? I Hope.

Here's my Tapco. Purchased my 10/22 new back in 1979. She wears a shortened E&L barrel shroud on a 18 1/2 inch standard factory barrel (2011 manufacture), UTG MNT-T228 quad rail, UTG MNT-754 front sight, UTG MNT-950RS02-B rear sight, Tactical Innovations TI25 advanced composite steel lip magazine, and a Tactical Innovations left hand safety. In current configutayion she weighs in at 7 pounds 4 ounces with a full mag. Still need to get a picatinny rail bipod adapter and to make a filler under the rear sight.

Boresighted near zero with my SiteLite laser boresighter at 18.1 yards (54.3 feet) for a 75 yard zero. According to my SiteLite Ballistic Sight-In proram she should be POA at 18.1 yards, 1 inch high at 50 yards, and POA at 75 yards. Rear sight elevation from full down was 37 clicks up (28 clicks remain). Front sight height adjusted to .212 inches from top of sight post to the flat on top of sight or 1 7/8 inches from top of sight post to top of barrel (with barrel shroud removed). Very windy yesterday so I have not had a chance to bench rest it to confirm 75 yard zero. but shot it from a sitting position at 18.1 yards with CCI Blazer 40 grain LRN bulk pack ammo and she would place the shots at POA in aproximately a 1/2 inch 3 shot group! I am one happy camper for sure and for certain.
