Target rimfire model 8348

Wanting to buy a 22 rifle for paper punching and my LGS do not have the rifles that I would consider. The last Ruger that I bought was last year and had to send it back for a barrel timing issue. It was returned to me with issue corrected. There are things I like about the 8348, the 10 round mag., the heavy weight barrel, D&T for bases and the rail also the wood stock. I know it is not a CZ. I have watched U-tube for reviews and most are good and a year or so old, however I have been reading where QC today has slipped over the past year. Does anyone have better or newer information. Thanks.

Target Shooting

I have the 8334 model and at 30 meters I can keep a 1Ē off the bench. Next month I have my first Appleseed event and canít wait. Now finding the right ammo,I went through many brands it likes CCI Standard Velocity 1070 FPS. So after you get it,you need to clean it completely. Then shoot several hundred of rounds,it will come to you. Different ammo is what I did. And donít overpower the scope.
I used a Nikon 2X7 rimfire.
Good Luck.

My Target in slightly modified, in a Provarmint stock and a 1.5 pound trigger.

8, 5 round groups at 100 yards. Remington Ely Target 22lr the scope is a Mueller 8.5-25.

Inch groups at 100 with simple at home mods.

Quality wise it is good to closely examine the rifle prior to purchase. Do your own quality inspection. KM
