Something Different 1911-22

About a year ago at a going out of business sale I found 2 Browning 1911's chambered in .22 LR. They are about 85% the size and weight of standard .45 1911. One is standard the other cmdr. Both will shoot nearly anything I load it with, including stuff my fancy new semi-autos will not shoot. While I bought the for use with my students they have become my favorite .22 LR pistols.

Has anyone else seen, shot, or owned these. Really, really fun.

They are not uncommon and are offered in all kinds of configurations now like with threaded barrels and now with less expensive polymer lowers.
Nice guns, not inexpensive but nice.

I have had my fair share of 22 pistols and the Browning 1911-22 in all forms have become my favorites after much use. Something about the way they feel in hand & then function flawlessly has gain my admiration. In fact I have been selling off some of my other types as I am so happy with the little Browning's. They can do everything I ask of them.

I like the Browning 1911 but it just felt too small in my hand so I went with GSG.

The GSG was one of the ones I sold after getting and using a Browning, My first is a A1 model and the 2nd is Black Label threaded that I shoot suppressed. I enjoy the threaded version so much that I had the A1 threaded also. I wear a Large size glove , sometimes XL depending on the brand so I have kind of large hands and they fit me fine.

Thumbs up

I sure like mine! The only negative is the expensive and hard to get magazines... Mine is accurate and feeds %%%% near anything.
