Which model is your Favorite Henry?

1) Favorite one that you currently own?

2) Favorite one you want, (current production)

I thought these would be interesting questions. I own 3 Henry's (H001, H003 round barrel, and AR-7). Thinking about which will be my next one.

I only have two at the moment, a H001T and a H003T, and they are both very different, and equally 'lovable'.

I would like a .357 Big Boy next.

My newest most favorite is the H001TLB 24" barrel Frontier. I have mine setup with a Marbles tang sight and a Lyman globe. Silhouettes practically lay down in submission before I even squeeze off a round.

BTW, that is a Varmint Express stock I ordered from Henry. The higher comb really helps me keep a more consistent sight picture.

favorite henry??

my big loop carbine with F/O front sight. short, light fast handling, accurate AND FUN!! I had a .22 mag model but traded it in on the carbine. I also like my .22 LR pump , octo barrel with brass receiver, feels very quality, heavy pump but feels good. accurate and a beautiful pump gun. I have 5 vintage pumps of various makes and ages plus the new Henry. I still would like one of the AR 7s to play with.

Yer gonna chuckle,,,

Yer gonna chuckle.

I bought a new H001 about 7 years ago.

After putting two 550 round bulk packs downrange,,,
I sold it for a $25.00 loss.

That rifle was the biggest ammo waster I have ever owned,,,
It wasn't that it wasn't reliable because it was,,,
It wasn't due to accuracy because it was.

I just couldn't make myself slow down and aim,,,
It was just so much fun to shoot really fast,,,
I was jacking the action like Lucas McCain.

Now my favorite Henry is the one I replaced the H001 with,,,
A single-shot Acu-Bolt in .22 LR.

I love shooting this rifle,,,
It's accurate with any decent ammo brand,,,
And it much better fits my style of slow leisurely range plinking.

I like it so much I bought the Mini-Bolt as a companion rifle,,,
Now I have something for kids to shoot at the range.

As I grow older I'll starts selling/giving away my collection of guns,,,
It's entirely possible that this rifle might be my last keeper.

People have chuckled at it when they see a polymer stocked single-shot Henry,,,
But after I let them fire a 5-round course they stop their chuckling.

Aarond

My favorite and only current model I have is the H001T Lever Octagon. I have owned a H003T pump action and a Big Boy in .44 MAG. My wish list consists of a H001TMLP small game carbine in .22wmr.

Could you say what the stock costs? Were they ok with ordering directly from them? Thanks so much!

Me, I love my basic H001. Had it about 5 years, compounded the stock and waxed it. Beautiful results. More accurate than me, but living in the hills, ya can't shoot more than 50 yards anyway.

Not my favorite 22, but I love it just the same. (Like having 2 girlfriends.) Makes a great partner to my 2 Heritage RR SA pistols, and always goes out with me when I'm hauling one of the RR's.

Now, I gotta get a cowboy hat like John Wayne. My purple 'hood pimp' hat just doesn't make it.

I have a Golden Boy in .22LR, and a pump in .22 Magnum. I prefer the pump. Hands down. There's nothing wrong with the Golden Boy...I just like pump action rifles.

If I could have anything else in Henry's line-up, it would either be the lever action .410 shotgun, or an all weather Big Boy in .44 Magnum...that black wood is sexy.
