First Lightweight Build

Rather than change a part here and there in order to personalize another 10/22 and wind up with a whole new rifle and a box of parts that used to be a factory Ruger, I decided to build up a lightweight from scratch. I’m still not happy with the pistol grip or the gap between it and the trigger guard. I will probably be throwing on a Magpul MOE and make some sort of spacer to fill in that gap.
Specs:
TI Receiver
Kidd Bolt
Weiland SS Barrel (crazy 11oz!)
Ruger OEM plastic trigger (going in for a Brimstone 1)
Modshot Chassis
Tandemkross Shadow optics mount (had to use the one for a S&W SW22 as the TI receiver is flat)
FTP Alpha 3 RDS (8MOA)
Weight: 3lb 2.5oz

That's a very nice build! Crazy lite, I've been wanting a Mod-shot for a while now. You like the FTP? I have never looked through one, always use the C-More's but they would add about 3oz+ to the build.

I was going to go with a PMACA, but once I saw the Modshot and the thought that went into it, I had to have one. Don't get me wrong, I'm still buying a PMACA for a different build, but I really like the Modshot.
My only complaint is the grip to trigger gap, but I'm working on a fix to that thanks to some motivation from another member.

I really like the FTP. After watching the reviews I thought it was worth taking a chance on it. It punches well above its' weight and has a lot of desirable features such as:
-relatively big window
-great clarity
- available with 8MOA dot
-lightweight.

I was going to go with a C-More, but since I was already going down the uber-light rabbit hole, I decided to keep going with the optic.
