I just bought a 27-S yesterday, 25-20, very nice condition. There is very little information available on them but they are well made, very well finished. I also have a No. 20, a very handy pump .22.

I have a 27S in 25-20 too, also a Remington 25 pump in 32-20. Nice handy little rifles. Need to reload, ammo is expensive. Trying to find a peep sight for the Remington but they go for big money. But added the Skinner Hepburn reproduction sight on the Marlin. A very nice sight that uses the existing holes on the 27S.

Marlin 27S

I purchased my Marlin 27S a year ago from LGS. Was in excellent shape with a bright bore and was made between 1920-24. Bought one box of Remington 25-20 and have reloaded them several times. I don't reform the fired brass, merely clean, recap, charge and seat the bullet. I am hoping to put less stress on the neck and shoulder of the brass. Really like this rifle and would like to find a 32-20.
