Yes, it's a Bushmaster trademark name..
Got the itch to build another DPMS 5.56 16" barrel with rifle gas.
Gave my other one away to a friend's Son.. who shoots it all the time..
So anyhoo.. I found a few parts. Was checking out Del-Ton but some reason ? Their website not working.
Found a nice A1 stock..
A set of green handguards..
Rock River trigger kit .
Won't take much to Finnish it out.
Anyone else like the AR15?

I'm a Blued Steel/Walnut kind of guy; but yes I've come to really enjoy the MSR, after building an AR-15 and a LR-308. Their modularity (is that a word?), makes them fun to accessorize, and you can go cheap, or all out on really custom parts, etc.

Have you ever done a side charger?

Do I like the AR15? You bet I do. I have nine currently and many more that have come and gone.

Sweet!...like the looks of that. As a Kid, I remember having some type of Toy M-16, that had the charging handle, between the carry handle, and receiver. For years, i thought the designers of the Toy (maybe it was Mattel, don't remember), had goofed up.

Looking at original Ar-10's, you can see the charging handle, in the accompanying photo; so they copied it right.

I think ?? Mattel.. yes, of the Toy fame..
Made pistol grips for the M16..
I don't know if that is true or not..
But one of my friends, a Vietnam vet.
Told me that... True or something..not sure..

I love my rimfire's but it's not too often that I go to the range and don't take at least 1 or 2 of my AR's with me. I was actually just out shooting my DDM4A1 about 2 hrs ago.

I can't stop... Dissapators....
Brownells has a Retro of the Colt 605..
I want SOOOO badly...
But had to settle for just the barrel assembly.
Piece it together over time.
Took me a few years to build my last Retro.
But it's fun 😁

Just got done tuning up the retro (?) Kinda sorta "mutt"... Colt 605
Semi auto BCG.. and the David Tubbs flat wire recoil spring.. did the trick.
Ejection is at 3 o'clock.
Smooth shooting..
Brownells says you must use xm193 ammo..(it's fairly hot)
In order for the rifle gas system to work on a 15.5 inch barrel...
I say not true.
Gas port is opened up.. but I don't know how much.
I run a semi auto BCG..and a David Tubbs flat wire recoil spring.
Works slick.
I need to take a picture of my "mutt" Colt 605
