Finger a little heavy on a very light trigger.

Oh never mind, that was with my IZH-46M Pistol.

May 2020

78/100, Tom Billeter, Tucson
Anschutz 2002 SSP, RWS Diabolo pellets.
That's the best score to this point.

5-11, I shot another 78/100 and then a 82/100 today with the same equipment.

5-31, I shot a 79/100 today for my final score for the month with the same equipment.

AIRGUN SCORES, 4 MONTHS, 1/1/20-4/30/20

Air gun scores January 1, 2020 to April 30, 2020
Scopes and iron sights combined. Same scores reported in order of posting.

97 BBERG 7794 FEINWERKBAU 800W
94 FORD8NR DAISY 853
94 MMANNING TAU-200
94 FORD8NR WALTHER LGR
91 DOC25 DAISY 753
87 IDE HAMMERLI AR-20
85 KEELEY ANSCHUTZ 2002 SSP
85 ABBY 123 FWB 300S
82 DAVID VALDINA DAISY 853

I will try and post scores every four months. If we start getting more shooters posting scores, I may publish summaries more often. I am not inclined to publish scope and iron sight in separate categories as the posted scores seem to indicate the use of scope matters very little. But others reading the individual posts find it of interest what equipment was used, what pellets etc. So elaborate as much as you like. Sharing is a good thing for us all.

On another note, I bought a slingshot the other day. With this country shut down, need to explore childhood stuff. I saw some videos and they really opened my eyes as to how good some people can be with them. I would like to use something biodegradable as ammo, maybe even eatable by the birds, so that I don't need to chase up stuff. Hazelnuts would probably work fine, but I would be reluctant as I would rather eat them.

Thanks for these matches. I do believe my score was 87. A 97 would see me still celebrating. Thanks again

Scores falling through the cracks.

I got a PM today:
Did you forget Doc25's scores for the January thru April summary of the short-range match? He has posted a bunch of scores, and on April 12th (post number 1017) he turned in a score of 91.
Just wondering. Thank you for hosting this match. Hope you and yours are well.
==========
Yup, must have slipped through the cracks somehow. I am sorry, all corrected now. Thank you all for watching out for each other. David

Last day of the month, so better get in a score.
87 / 100
Hammerli AR 20 A-17 target RWS basic pellets

Note: Had a 24 / 40 on the reduced indoor metallic silhouette target today. Everybody shoots at home as we cannot gather together at the club. A weekly match with rifle and pistol. Be nice to get back to seeing the critters actually fall over.

Florida, June 30, 2020.

Florida, 6/30/2020, Inside the house.

Daisy 853
Factory sights
Daisy Precision Max 8.2 gr. pellets
8,7,8,9,8,7,9,7,9 & 8=80

Tried the Benjamin 397 again, but I am very inconsistent with it. And as easy as it may be to pump it up, I get tired of needing to do so. Lazy. Shooting a .22 rimfire is definitely more to my liking, just not as legal in the yard and too noisy in the house here in Florida. Up North in my basement it works out fine. But I am still happy I have the Benjamin and happy to have the ability to pump it up more than target velocities should I have the need to do so. And I also report I bought a slingshot which is also legal outdoors here. I won't be entering any scores with it, nor even thinking of using it in the house. But outside I find I can actually hit a tree trunk about where I am aiming. And I need to aim off center so the little balls I bought to shoot don't bounce directly back at me. Heat index here has been around 100 lately.
