Made me look it up, didn't know Savage ever made a Model 93 22 Hornet. Thought all Sav. model 93's were rimfires only but a quick google search shows they briefly made a model 93 22 hornet single shot. Learn something new everyday.

WOW now that is some news...I will look that up also. I know Savage made a classic rifle that looked just like Classic 93 rimfire rifles but that model only came in 223 and 204 IIRC.

Thanks for the heads up on that.

I've not seen a model 93 Hornet but do have the model 40 Hornet. I think but dont actually know that the model 40 was also based on the rimfire 93. The Hornet version of the 93 seems to be rarer than the model 40. The difference between the two Hornets seem to be the barrels (lighter on the 93 heavier on the 40) and the stocks (walnut for the 93 and laminate on the 40) styles. The model 40 also has the Accu-Trigger as it arrived at a later date.

When the model 40 came out my thought was that thing sure looks like a model 93. Like the rest of you dummies I didn't know about the 93 in 22 Hornet either.
