It came , I installed, it rocks. The best part was that after it was un deployed, clipped together, it slid nicely into the std backpack pouch, with the red dot mounted.,so now I have an empty sleeve in the pouch, to fill with a couple more Bx 25 magazines. And the cheek riser is perfect for the red dot.

We are all a little lonely at this time of year. To cold and wet to shoot outside. So Iím trying to keep them busy by buying new clothes and toys.plus my gunroom is being redecorated, so even those plans are stymied.

I just ordered factory 16.5" take off barrel with fiber optic sights from them. $63 shipped after the 5% RFC discount. It is going on standard carbine I installed in an Archangel AAQBD stock. The LOP is 12 3/4" so it should be perfect for my wife. It will break down to 18" and go in the bag with my Takedown/Backpacker.

I took my stainless TD in its new backpacker stock to the indoor range last night. And am very pleased with it. It shoulders better, the cheek weld , do to the higher rear stock is better. And it held zero with the trs 25 , no adjustment needed.

I canít say it shoots better, but I can say I like shooting it better.

I really like the idea of the Takedown with the Backpacker stock. Still trying to decide if I should pick one up and either sell my current rifle or keep it as a spare.

Only problem with that plan is that my current rifle isn't a Takedown model. Lol

Oops. That is a problem. But now you can do a build and spend the money on parts you want instead of parts you donít S&P has the stock , the receiver , and a bromstonne Trigger. You can buy a jwh bolt, wait for the sale , or on eBay they have some at $60, but make an offer, they took $50 from me, a Kidd charging Handel on eBay $30 shipped.and the you can shop for an aftermarket TD barrel, bull , ultra lite etc. the backpacker takes all.

Yes, it is a great place for lots of stuff. RFC code 5% off. $6.00 shipping on any order, so you might as well stock up.Stock up, funny..... Cause you stocked down.

TD stock from Magpul

Was not certain about pouring ca$h in the TD model. So spent the fund$ at Optics Planet for the stock. Cannot say enough, proper fit, correct barrel tension, high comb for a better cheek weld.

All in all the gun performs accurately with the TDS sight set and the new stock makes the .22 a better performer at 50 yards- rested and off hand.

Best regards,
chalmitch
