I'm going to turn the saw loose on my new Zephyr II. I love the rifle but the LOP for this 5'5" fellow is just too long at a carefully measured 14.5". The rifles that best fit me are 13.5". I hate taking that much off this Zephyr but it won't hurt the looks and it needs to fit me. I don't like reaching for the trigger and then only getting the side corner with the finger tip.

I took the recoil pad off and while not perfect, it did lop off (pun intended) 1/2 inch of LOP (why do they put recoil pads on rimfire?). But I couldn't find a super thin butt plate to replace the padded one.

The local Gun Doctor only charges $75 to reduce LOP, shape the pad or a new one, and refinish the stock if necessary. I expected twice that expense!

I'm hoping she has a very thin plate so she only has to take 1/2" off the butt stock.

In the air rifle world which I tinker in as well, you can easily fit triggers with adjustable shoes that can be rotated. I've done this on a Steyr and it fixed my trigger reach perfectly. I can't find a similar solution for rimfire triggers.

I have a Norinco JW-14 (BRNO 1 knockoff), and I shimmed the trigger guard and it come out really nice. Turned a $175 gun into a....$175 gun.
DIP has 2 trigger guards. One trigger guard (STE-00050-22) requires shortening the magwell block by 0.10 inches in order for the metal to fit flush on the bottom. The other trigger guard (STE-00050) does not. The opening in the trigger guard is a little bit bigger and will allow the magwell block to stick out. That may be what is causing the bulge, installing the 1st trigger guard (STE-00050-22).
