I turned 65 in 2018 and in AR you can buy a lifetime license when you turn 65 in that calendar year, so I got hunting and fishing and trout stamp for the normal fee price.

l buy a hunting license every year, l don't hunt any more but would go hunting with my old friends, but there all gone, l still fish fresh and saltwater, but it's getting harder as the years go on i'm pushing 77, l do a lot of target shooting punching holes in paper.
l live in NJ no free hunting license, after 70 you don't need a fishing license but you do need a trout stamp, l believe that after a certain age and you are a US citizen you should eligible to get a free license for hunting and fishing.

Yessir you betcha!

I don't get to hunt very often, but when I do I'm fully prepared! I renew it faithfully every year.

I also renew my fishing license, which is basically a gift to the state.

This is Florida. You need a license to shoot something? Well actually you do, but only if you're under 65. I'm not.

https://myfwc.com/license/recreational/faqs/ "...While a license is not required for resident seniors, they should keep proof of age and residency in their possession while participating in these activities."

But I don't hunt except for critters that show up on my own property and make themselves unwelcome in some way, which requires more than being an available moving target.

I took up marksmanship in retirement and have yet to procure a hunting license.
There is an orange Stormy Kromer cap in reserve should I wish to hunt down "that pesky wabbit."
