Here is my stock duplicator in action. This machine can be made for about $600 or a little more. I designed this machine in 1981 and had a good machine finished by 1983. All the details are on a DVD along with much more projects. Students at Trinidad State gunsmith class built a machine in 1994 and used it as a training aid for about 15 yrs.

I have seen that duplicator at Trinidad. I had no idea there was a connection.

I always read your posts when I spot one, and this one is the first after a long while. If your DVD is a compilation of your articles and various tutorials, then it's a treasure and I would like to buy a copy.

Neat! So, you could carve a master out of foam and then duplicate it in hardwood or laminate? Spiffy...

Send a PM

The private message is the best way for me to reply to you. I am a RV'er and on the road most of the time. Some of you may have seen a picture of the Martini rifle I made 12 yrs ago. It was cut on the first machine with the hard maple frame. The rifle was made by converting a 22 LR action into center fire and chambered for a 20 cal. wildcat made on a shortened 223 case. I have not routed a stock for the 10/22 , but am considering to make a pattern along the sporter style soon. I will post a picture in the next reply.

Forearm added for style shape

I am planning to get a 10/22 soon and make a nice stock for my sporter style hunting rifle.

Hello, I would be interested in a little information about the dvd, of the duplicator. I’m sure you’ve seen some of my stock work, if you’ve been on RFC. I probably wouldn’t build the duplicator, but I enjoy looking at anything dealing with stock building.
You can pm me.
Thanks
Larry
