Tikka T1x 17hmr accuracy problems

Just purchased the Tikka and I have to say I'm a little disappointed in the accuracy. Actually it's one of the worst 17hmr's I've shot. I'm averaging around 1 1/2 to 2" at 100 yards. I was also shooting a Ruger 77/17 at the same time which was averaging around 1/2 to 1" groups so I don't think it's the shooter (in all fairness, the Ruger has a Shilen barrel). Other than the accuracy I really like the gun. Seems to be well made and I love the firing pin block safety. Any suggestions to get better accuracy or is this typical for the 17's? I really need it to stay under 1" at 100 yards or it's going to have to go down the road.

I'd say 1" is doable. I shoot this with mine, this is at 55 yards though. All are 10 shot groups but different ammo.

Try TNT rounds I've have had the best luck with them.
