Kimber 82G Scope Mounting

This has probably been beat to death, but I did not find anything specific in a search. (Probably me) At any rate I have a new to me Kimber 82 Government model in pristine condition. What scope rings will work well? I am assuming an 11mm dovetail, for the stock scope blocks and receiver. I have used BKL rings in the past on a CZ 452 and they worked very well. I see Talley's and some others. I don't think I need a Picatinny rail, and would prefer not to use one. The scope has a 40mm Objective so Highs or mediums?
Thought I had a deal on a prefect BSA Martini MKIII but the seller backed out and decided not to sell. Found the Kimber for a much better price. It has the stock peeps, but not sure my old eyes are up to irons anymore.

I just mounted a Loopy 40MM on mine with BKL's a couple of weeks ago. 257MB.
I have a good 1/4" between the bell and the pipe. Even cleared the rear factory scope block.

Rings for Kimber 82G

Hello, you need to buy Talley 22TRH rings for your Kimber 82G. I put some on a couple of months ago. They work great.

Another vote for the KLH rings
I have their high rings on my 82G holding a 8-32x50
Fits the rcvr dovetail, no need to spend more, these are great value to boot

I bought the BKL's (Kimber 82G) and I'm impressed as to the quality of the mount. For a grooved type mount they fit very well. The gripping edge's of the clamp are very sharp so they grab and go into the receiver's grooves for a rock solid fit.

I've used BKL's for years and have had no issues with them. I like the fact that I can swap scopes between rifles of the same brand and have very little rezeroing to do. They are used on airguns so they have to be tough.

The Kimber 82G was made to accept all Anschutz accessories, so like the Anschutz the 82G has 11mm grooves. BKL rings fit both 11mm and 3/8" grooves, so you will have no problems with BKL's on your rifle. I like BKL rings -- they're my 2nd favorite behind Burris Signatures, and they cost less.
