Beautiful pair! I've only seen one and that was at a gun show. Thanks!

While I like the design & appearance of the new Zephyr II it certainly does not compare to the original Steyr Zephyr Mannlicher in craftsmanship. Maybe this one has exceptional wood compared to most, however I believe most of them "on average" had much better wood than we see occasionally see today.

That's not to say the Zephyr II is not a good rifle.

Great way to kick off the Steyr Section . . .

There are a few of the old beauties around, I'm happy to own one.

Thanks for the pictures guys!! Nice rifles. And nice old 2-7 Leupold Gerald. So old that the numbers on the power ring face forward!

I hadn't even noticed, got a newer one I just picked up used (gloss) and you're right the numbers are on the side toward the user.

Classic Zephyrs

Beautiful rifles. I have a few.

What ring mounts are the pictured Zephyrs?

Best,
Chuck

Those Mannlicher-style Steyrs are truly elegant. I am somewhat interested in the new Zephyr, but having a hard time with all the swoops carved into the stock. I might be interested in one should a nice after-market stock become available. I guess I'm just too traditional.

That one with the double set triggers has as nice of lines as any custom made by the best makers IMO.

Beautiful rifles! I agree with the above--the Zephyr does have some of the nicest lines of any .22 sporter.

Rumor has it that there's a fellow in Montana that can make a nice stock for you.
