Trs 25 red dot. Imho Scoping it kinda defeats the TD benefit, cause the scopes just a bit toooo long to fitin the bag. But lots of people use the bug buster, cause its short. And i guess it depends on what stock you have and what youre gonna use it for.
Mine lives in the bag in my vehicle, i have it as a get me home gun, and to shoot at the indoor range in the winter, and , if someone says lets go shooting gun.

I'm just setting one up so this isn't from firsthand yet.
But yeah, RDS kinda' makes sense to me as the optical sweet spot for this rifle's main uses. I got the magpul barrel-mounted optic mount, plan to put a T1 on there or perhaps a 1x or 3x prism sight. Burris has a new small 3x prism out, the RT-3, that has potential for this application.

Irons, a 1-4 viper PST and a barrel mounted cheap red dot on the other, its just a place holder until I get another rmr with a 1moa dot.

3 moa red dot, is probably fine for a TD, it doesnt shoot better than that anyways
I thought about the barrel mount when i went to the magpull stock, but in 5 years, ive never had to rezero with a receiver mounted red dot. Another benefit of 3moa

I have 3 different TD set-ups with 3 different optics.
1: Vortex Diamondback 4-12× AO
2: Holosun HS515CU
3: Weaver Grand Slam 4-16× EBX reticle
The 2 scoped ones are in QD rings but they still fit in the bag without removing them.

I went with the Leupold 1-4x20 because I have astigmatism. Red dots dont work without my glasses and it is a get home gun. I also wanted a good optic and it is short enough to make it in the bag. Back up sights are Skinner.

I also had my original one scoped. I either had a Leupold 2-7x28 or Weaver 2.5-7x28 on it. I think it was with low rings, but might even have been the DNZ brand mount. It still fit in the original style bag, and you could zip it up. If I recall correctly, you couldn't use the flap on the inside. Instead of covering the butt of the rifle and securing it by the velcro tab, you had to tuck the flap inside of the pocket where the rifle and scope went.
Also, the last takedown I bought a few weeks ago came with a completely different style bag. The shape and size is much different than the original bag. The internal retention system is very modular, utilizing a bunch of velcro so you can really play with how the individual pieces sit in the bag.

4X32 Bushnell scope; on Warne QD rings. Put whatever scope you want on it, but use the Warne QD rings; returns to zero every time.

UTG Bugbuster or the Mueller Quick Shot reflex... if ya want a smaller/mini reflex I suggest the Vortex Viper. https://www.amazon.com/Vortex-Optics.../dp/B08L4P5C8R

The UTG Bug Buster is an incredible little scope for the money. I would think it ideal for the TD.

Primary arms fixed 6x, love it enough that I've got 3 and it fits the bag.. We shoot steel from 50-150yds.. It's not a precision scope but it allows a 10 yo to bang 10" plates @150 yds.. Once a person is familiar with it becomes better yet.. I can bang the 3" gongs at 100 without many misses.. With a 10% coupon it comes in under $100..
