Looking at buying a 1727 for NRL22/PRS style matches. Which means a lot of positional shooting. Which of these 1727 would lend itself to this style of shooting. Wish I could handle tbe all first hand. The is also a occasional stage that has to be shot support side.
Although I'm an Anschutz fanboy, I think you've illustrated why they don't have a bigger impact in NRL22. The lack of appropriate stocks, factory and aftermarket, is the problem. What rifle and stock are you using now?
Here is some footage of a NRL22X match. Normal NRL22 is limited to 100 yards and have strict gear limits. The X matches are limited to the match director.
Of the rifles pictured, the AV Hybrid with GRS stock the one I'd choose for PRS style matches. One thing to keep in mind is you'll need to make sure it'll work well with 10 round mags.
The straight-pull action might work out well but, as much as I like Anschutz, I think I'd just buy a V22 in a configuration that's more suitable for PRS matches. Less money and proven to typically perform well in that type of shooting.
