Chief I am confused why would ruger not want the rights to this, if for no other reason only to stop the production of a convershion that would surely cut in to sales of there 10/17 that if I am not mistaken is still not available? Count me in but I wouldnt be surprised if ruger didnt make you a offer you couldnt refuse. Was thinking of buying a new 10/22 mag just to make the conversion to 17cal but will wait, have a couple LR on hand that I would rather convert! There goes a sale for Ruger how you say ? "baw HA HA "

PS. will all the mods that I have allready done to these LR 10/22 still work with the conversion ?

Many Thanks good luck Trigger

CHIEF
Seeing as how RUGER cannot get there Act together with the 10-17 and will not sell 22MAG Bolts, Firing Pin,MKII Disconnecters,Ect I say GO FOR IT.

This brings to mind Hitting a Mule alongside the head with a 2x4 to get there Attention.

Who turned up the Heat in the LEGAL DEPARTMENT ?

GOOD LUCK
When & Where do we send GREENBACKS?

Chief Says : Due to my last call to the Ruger executive lounge,
and getting the same "run-around" as their customer Service
gave me all stands the same.
If anything Ruger has inspired me to speed up the conversion
process if nothing but to prove my point.
Upon mentioning my coversion to Ruger Co. The only reply they
could give "I would not advise that ".
Course , they didnt have all the details and were not giving a reply of legal issues , but one of mechanical / safety thoughts at hand.
This is a waiting game. First apply for pat.pending . Next providing
your idea does not infringe on other patents , your granted a provisional patent. Then = you can start the bargining process.
Until then , your nobody with just an idea.
Once a reputable item is in the works , proving its worth to the
industry = you get recognition and may become "somebody".

If all falls into place = plans are to use this conversion as an example to Ruger and others , that people should all be treated
equally and fairly. Not "I'll sell ya this item today , tomarrow
may be different."
Or I will offer it in the future if theres enough demand.
If this conversion = is approved . it will sell to everyone for the
same price - est. about $100 = drop in status.

You 'da INJUN!!!

RealBow says: good work Chief!!

As a retired/layed-off electrical engineer for 2 years-now the owner of a painting company, I say 'stick it to 'em" Chief.

I had my fill of the "corporate" BS and the bean-counters telling engineers what they can and cannot do and for how much for 16 years!!

Got any names for the conversion kit?...

How's about :

"....The CD 10/22 Conversion..."

or

"....Chief 10/22 Conversion..."

or

"....the too late Ruger I have already figured out how to do the 10/22 conversion..""

hee....hee....
