I've not shot it yet, but having 3 other 54 series sporters I'm sure it will do just fine. I'm still debating what scope to put on it to be honest. A bit heavy for a woods gun but I've got about 10 other Mach II's for that.

I was a little worried about the bedding job in this stock causing a accuracy issue. Scott had a new model 54 side safety action and I am using the old style wing style safety. Today we went to the range to do some ladder testing on some hand loads for my 22-250 so I carried the little 22 with me. For ammo I grabbed my box of Eley black box that has been on the shelf for 6 years. This is the target from today. This was the last 6 shot group I shot at 25 yards before putting it away. I just wish my 22-250 ladder test went this good!

Are there any Rimfire competitions close to our area? I have only been in NC for the past two years but havenít found anything close yet. Not looking for anything serious, been there and done that, just a casual Rimfire competition would be fine with me.

I know right? That is pretty typical of CC stocks. The more I look the more I like about it. Leroy knows how to pick his lumber. .

I am using photobucket but I am not sure why you canít see the pics. Can you get to photo bucket on your device? If not may be a security setting or firewall if you are at work.

I never thought I would own a high end rifle in my lifetime either. And I went through allot of others first. Kept trading up and getting rid of 10 to buy one until I was able to afford my first 54 sporter. Never forget that day. It was an auction in 2012. Paid $580 for it without a scope. It was built in 1968 and shot so well I was amazed. Still trading and much older now at almost 60 and have enjoyed the ride so far. I worked allot of part time jobs and have done allot of work on the side to support my hobby or habit some may say. It has always been well worth it!
