I have a Honda EU3000is inverter/generator. I use Amsoil fuel stabilizer in the gas and add a dollop of Amsoil Saber 2-cycle oil to each tank. It fires right up every time. Reading this thread I realized I had not exercised it in 6 months, so I rolled it out of the garage, turned on the fuel, turned on the switch and pulled out the choke and it started on the second pull. The amazing part is it never posted a single cat picture, nor did it ask me dating advice.

That depends!

Do you plan to use it more than a couple times?

If so, use real gas. For any small engine.

i wouldn't run an engine on avgas if i didn't have to. avgas has a lot of lead in it that can end up causing valve problems. this is a thing in the aviation world, not a myth. and if that engine has synthetic oil it is even worse because syn. does not ''scavenge'' the lead like conventional oil, making it even easier for the lead to end up where it doesn't belong.
you can't go wrong with no ethanol fuel. alcohol in fuel breaks down/causes breakdown of fuel much quicker than no alcohol. and stabil or seafoam stabilizes the fuel.

You get all this JN?

My 2000 is over 20yrs old and survived my cheapskate bud using it a lot @ the hunting shack with only a carb replacement. I finally took it home and he got his own non Honda, cheaper but bigger one, he built an insulated box around because of the noise.

Always a good idea with an air cooled engine
