1962 Ferrari 250 GTO
In 2018, a 1962 Ferrari became the most expensive car ever sold, fetching $48.4 million at an auction run by RM Sotheby's. The record price for the Ferrari proved that the 250 GTO remains the holy grail of classic cars.

Both photos show 250 GTO's, and one for over $70,000,000 in a private transaction.

Mercury Marine outboards is now making a normally asperated 600 horsepower V-12 outboard pontoon boat pusher. How many pony's do you think there racing outboards are going to scream at?

Yup - I was over-focused on the shape of the aft end of the roofline... And I prefer the other one so much that I tend to ignore the fact that other shapes exist.

For 36 (250) or 39 (+3, 330) cars of the same type there's quite a bit of variation.

Interestingly, I just watched that the other day. Always fun.

I spent a lot of time at the Boston Museum of Fine Arts many years ago staring at Ralph Lauren's collection, most notably the Bugatti Type 35, the D-type Jag, and the 250 GTO. Would have stayed longer but they wanted to vacuum 'n' stuff....
