Cool " Shoot-out at Ricos' Corral "

Log in to see fewer ads
a few ideas,

thanks to rigger and earth, have been floating around re; a "new" GAME that we can all participate in. since MOST of us have a stash of cheap ammo, why not post some pics of how good or bad your gun does with that ammo?

rules??

has to be an SS'er. NO match ammo, or what is considered match, eley, rws, wolf, sk, lapua, etc. this is a fun game and no ones name will get on any kind of plaque, which means no cleaning duties, etc, just a fun thingee.
5 rounds per bull, any distance you want, or normally shoot from.

shoot and post with the usual info.

will post a pic as soon as i can find it to get things going, hopefully,

rico....

Pretty good for Winchester x-perts. Almost bought some this hitch, will have to get some and try them in my Fat Baby. Course have several that I haven't tried and need to.

Only ammo I have tried in the FB is 510's, AM-22's, Aguila Pistol and rifle match and SK Standard. Need to try the X-perts, golden bullets, Fed Bulk 550, American Eagle hp /solids, blazers, and Remington subs to begin with.

Wow the list kept getting bigger as I was typing, LOL.

Good shooting Rico on the cheap. Think ya still the King of bulk.

Come on everyone show us what ya rifle will do on the cheap.

I'll try post my AE5022 target tomorrow I'm all for having a lowbuck thread. How many you wanna see? How many groups per target?

I know these aren't "rules" and should not be but what do you all want to see? I have a the above mentioned AE5022, 510, Blazer, AE22.

Do you want to standardize on 25 yds or any yardage. I've got some 100 yard groups.

This should be fun.

and

and I wonder why I like the SK and Wolf ammo I plan on re shooting with the same ammo same action but with a different stock that is set up to float the barrel should tell me if this GM heavy taper likes to float or not

WOW, earth, knew you could be counted on for some pics of groups,

looks like you had some fun. LOL, and you do have a good variety of ammo.

my hvy tapered bbl likes to be floated ALL the way to the forend, in one stock anyway.

LOL, dont think i'll be buying yellow jackets. but this may help others to stay away from a particular type of ammo.

BTW all, for this "game" mzrng is not necessary unless posting an old pic that has already been mzrd.

thanks earth for the pics,

rico....

Does AutoMatch qualify?

I do not really consider this a true match ammo. If you do not like it here I will delete it!!!

vincent,

it is not for me to dislike, we are just sharing here. great groups, and i like AM-22. just have to order them.

ALL groups are welcome. which is kinda the point of this "game", show and tell
what ya can do with cheap ammo, no matter the distance or gun. by now i think, we all have a pretty good idea of whose gun can do what. but generally that was with match ammo. this is a chance to post what a gun will do with cheap ammo, which has been proven to do very well.

so far, looking good to me.

rico....
