It's actually a 42x 44mm.

The NF 42X 44mm Fixed Competition is what I use on this rifle for my Ranges USBR competitions, even though I have (2) NF 15-55X Competitions.
As shot in my USBR matches.
This is abetter photo, but we don't allow tuners in our match, and I now use the Tier One Bi-pod pictured above.

I just liked its smaller size, and 42 X was enough for me at 50yds.
Hovwever I do have have fellow shooters who think I'm nuts.

I paid $1750 for mine, but they were closed out for around $1000-$1100.
One of my shooting buddies picked one up.
They may have actually dropped below $1000.
Super cool scope, and it's to bad they were discoed.
With out being variable power, they eliminated one whole set of lenses, which allows them to maintain their super sharp and bright image, and at a lower weight.
Nice for weight restricted classes of Centerfire competitions.

Smooth.

The 45 Competition is strictly a bench rest application for me.
I also have a Leupold 36 BR that I bought from a Silhouette shooter and I admit I would have trouble holding on target with that offhand.
A 45 X at 50 yards is like being 40 inches from your target.

Too much optic. Real men shoot iron sights.

I does very well.
It has won my ranges USBR Championship the 1st 2 years.
Last year with 242-5x average.

The match is 12 months long and is shot on the 1st Saturday of the month in whatever conditions are present starting a 9:01am. Good or bad conditions, we shoot.
We shoot 2 targets back to back over 45 minutes which includes any sighters.
Unlike the bottom photo we do not allow tuners, or mechanical rests.

The top photo shows the rifle as shot in those matches.
Best targets shot last year were a 247-4x and a 247-6x.
Best X count target was a 245-10x.

Heres the 247-6x shot in the rain. That's why the target is a bit wrinkled.
Tap the photo for a larger view.

That's some really good shooting. No wonder you are winning. Every time I see a photo of that Forster, I smile. It's just beautiful. How does it rank for you out of all of your nice rifles? I'm guessing it's one of your favorites.

Are you kidding, far and away my favorite.
As far as I know, it's still the only one on the planet.
And it shoots.

Thanks everyone for all of the compliments.

Smooth

The 1927 is almost the same, but this is the only 1727F-22 CISM.
