Without getting political how do you feel the NRA is doing lately?
Do they deserve our money still?

I'd make a poll but I dont think I can

As you said, it will be rather difficult for this to not go into the political.

Speaking as a Life Member; I do think that Wayne LaPierre should be removed immediately, and replaced with honest leadership.

Maintain membership, but I don't give a dime over. Have been more impressed with my dollar for value with several other organizations.

I agree with Kestrel4k. Wayne has to go and no golden parachute.

Agree with the others. Very worthwhile organization going through a leadership crisis. When Mr LaPierre steps down I'll start sending more bucks again. GOA is a good one too. We need all the help we can get.

I've been a member for 54 years, up to Benefactor level now but not one more dime until we get our house in order.

When certain groups cease trying to nullify OUR rights let me know, until then I support the NRA, GOA and others...

What I tell people is there is no other gun organization as holistic as the NRA. Is it perfect? I quote a guy I shot service rifle with: "Don't throw the baby out with the bath water"

NRA, plus support a local gun organizations.

In Louisiana there is:

LSA - Louisiana Shooting Association
They are virtually the NRA, on a state level.

HDFNOLA - Home Defense Foundation NOLA
https://www.hdfnola.org/index.html

Both of these group work together and are very effective due to their leadership and the support of the membership.
These are guy and ladies that know how to make a positive presence.

I am supportive of the NRA and have been a member for quite a few years.
I let my membership expire not for their mission, but the disgraceful actions of Wayne and others on the board that accept that. Wayne needs to go before I ever add one cent more into its coffers.

GOA, NSSF and another number of organizations (VCDL for Virginia) seem to be more active and effective in protecting our RTKBA.

At this point, all the good things that the NRA provides are noble, but their senior leadership just pisses it away and relies on past accomplishments: good training for gun owners becomes irrelevant if our RTKBA fails to exist.

IMHO, GOA, NSSF and VCDL seem to be more effective and enjoined in our defense than the NRA, and that is purely a function of the NRA Swamp Rats spending our membership $$$ for nice "percs", rather than focusing on the core mission.

IMHO, the NRA needs a Winston Churchill more than a Neville Chamberlain.

The fact the corruption has gone on for so long tells me all I need to know.

In addition, as well as cancelling membership, I removed the sticker from my truck. I do not want to be associated with that type of blatant thievery.

I don't think I need to read further.

Both nailed it!

NRA

I'm 74............I've been an NRA member on and off since the early 1970's. They were my go to organization until recently. Now, I see more support out of Gun Owners of America.........e-mails, congressional e-mail automated letters, many updates on Federal and State House and Senate Bills. The dues are $25.00 but no magazine. The NRA magazine is good but the information is always old! I haven't seen anything NRA on TV for a long time. Maybe it's on the Outdoor Channel that I don't get............but there they are preaching to the choir!
Wayne LaPierre should have been fired a while back. He has lost the respect of many gun owners. Ollie North was no Charlton Heston!
We as gun owners are in trouble. I can't remember the time in my life where my fear of losing my 2nd Amendment rights are in true jeopardy.
Keep your eye on the ball! The man and woman that occupy the White House are not our friends as well as the majority parties in the Congress!

What Pro 2nd Amendment organization draws more flack from our enemies? NONE, there's a reason, they are and have been effective for decades.

This is a really good point.
I was a member years ago and let it expire due to lots of reasons already stated.

But truthfully, I'm regretting the decision because I feel like even some 2a support from them is still worth while.
