Cheap RS22 is impressive

Ok I'll give it a try, I just ordered a RS22 in OD green. I found one at a pretty good price online and shipping to my ffl. I guess I better hone up my trigger tweaking skills. I'll most likely give it to my grandson who loves shooting, but before that I'll put it to some good use and make sure it's broken in good.

I searched their website and they are only listing Savage for 22WMR semiauto?

The one I ordered was a 22lr in semiauto RS22, If I was going with the 22wmr I would go for the bolt action RB22M. I'm not a fan of 22wmr semi's, I'll give the overall RS22 rifle a go and see how she performs and how the trigger goes. If all goes well I'll order a bolt 22wmr.

I've got only about 500 rounds through mine so far, but other than a new magazine that didn't fit/work, it has been great. The mag had a rough edge on the front that wouldn't let it fully engage. After cleaning that up it has been fine.

Added some weight to the forend and back of the hollow stock as well. Enables you to tune the balance how you like it.

How did you get the cheek riser to be at an angle? From the company website it appears it'll be flush with the butt stock, so is that what you used the foam tape for ?

Not sure I'm following, but the cheek piece mounts from the top with 2 screws into the stock. You add spacers under the main piece to get the height you need. It might look like it's angled, but it's mounted evenly.

The foam tape was added on the sides as spacers because the stock was narrower than the cheek piece when it was raised up to where I needed it to be.

are my RS22 (just ordered another to share) and my RB22. For inexpensive rifles, they perform very well.
