That is what Mythbusters said aboutthe third rail. When the target was a foot away where the stream was solid, it worked. So if y’all want to win the bet without getting shocked, stand a little further back.

My buddy's bird dog let out several yelps when it took a leak a hot fence, then dropped it's leg over the low slung wire and proceeded to run down the fence until it reached the next post where it finally did a dismount. I'm not sure that the dog was any good for the remainder of the day, but the re-run of that scene always brought a laugh for years to come.

Never peed on the electric fence. Buddy and I were going to fish a pond and had to cross over the fence. We carried a metal boat over the fence and one of us let it get too low. It was a shocking experience!

I never peed on one, but I did find out early on what they were all about. Went through a fence to retrieve a frisbee some friends were throwing, wet grass and barefooted, stepped on the low electric fence wire and got my first taste of electricity.

I never peed on one either! But knew what it was all about! Think I touched one once when I was about 10 years old!

Had a hunting buddy in high school hit a weed burner electric fence, the pop of the electricity followed by the blood curdling scream is still etched in my memory.

I grew up on Farm so they were a everyday nuisance and walking around Hunting you would also run across them hidden a little and get zapped. When I was probably 7 My Dad and his friends pulled the old last guy in line trick on me. This is not a electric fence story. But my Son when he around 17 wanted to try the dog collar. He did. Said it was not really bad at all. Maybe the battery's were low,LOL

didn't have to pee on the wire. we had cows the pasture was a mile from the house then the pasture was a 1/4 mile square. two mile of hot wire. my job was to cut the weeds that would short out the fence. the fence charger would throw a 3/4 inch arc of pure pain. my dad would send me out at 7 in the mourning every thing wet. after a 1/4 mile I would be wet the hoe would be wet the weeds were wet. I swung that hoe like babe ruth but would still get shocked. it would sound like one of those bug zappers long before bug zappers were made. once a week dad sent me to cut the weeds maybe that's why I studder
