ronnieh the charging handle should work fine with the conversion but it will require the old school upper with the charging handle in the carry handle. it works just like the standard charging and brownells probably has the upper.

brownells has one and it is on sale but must be made of gold $$$ but it is complete minus the shell deflector and has a different rear sight.

Not the best picture but here is my Stribog pistol in 9mm. Built like a tank, accurate and reliable, they have become very popular as other similar pistols are much more expensive.

I really like that Stribog pistol and have thought about doing something like that with my cobray M11. there are several companies making barrels and new side charging uppers with rails on top for a red dot for my M11 now. and since braces are all the rage now I might just have to give it a go.

The top, ambidextrous, charge "trigger" AR-15 upper is a NoDakSpud model NDS-32, which has since been replaced by their model NDS-15.
