Mine wasn't floppy until my stepbro tried to run it fast.
The part that bugs me the most is the catch for releasing the trigger group which I broke on my first attempt. Upon my complaint Savage replaced it immediately on their dime.

That breaking had to be a maddening shock! And I agree, Savage is great as for customer support.

I tricked out both my Savage .17 rifles and hunt with them only.

Everything is easier if you know how.

I had no expectations when I bought mine. A HB with synthetic stock. It surprises me as it consistently shoots 1 1/16" groups at 135 yds. Sold a 17HMR because of the Bmags accuracy. I wonder what will happen to Bmag accuracy when my American Eagle 20 gr. ammo runs out? Seems to be good stuff even though mfg by same company.

My spinal column is too decrepit to hobble around in the woods anymore. The growing light at the end of life's tunnel is an oncoming train!

Got a kickstart?

Maybe some flatland hunting is in order, and a light carry rifle.

Heck yeah! Age has slowed us down but still able as for a lot of stuff.

I did my .17 WSM rifle/scope check this week, a fella has to be ready!

I have the original Savage BMAG skinny barrel and plastic stock WSM. Holes touch at 50 yards after my stock bedding and with 20gr fodder. People underestimate that little rifle.

I sure hope you haven't given up on squirrel hunting, Al. We need all the help we can get out there!

40 tree rats on the button last winter and left all the blacks @ the feeders alone as an experiment.

Good plan that works out fine, Al! Maybe you can lure in some crows and other vermin close to home. WSM has a lot of reach.
