The mount is from raptor engineering. As far as a specific part number, I don't have that, sorry. You can Google it, there website is very easy to use. Also if you have any questions whether your getting the correct plate. You can call them. They were very happy to assist me.

Looks like they are closed until the West Coast fires get resolved:

Hope they got out okay.

I have 3 S&W wheel guns and used a Weaver 36M #4850 Matte or any 36M with preferred finish to mount red dots on. The Weaver base is a perfect fit once the rear sight is removed. Costs about $5.

I have a 617 and 686 and wanted to mount either a Red Dot or Reflex on these pistols. Didn't want to tap the barrel, so I removed the rear sight and took my calipers out and measured the distance between the 3 holes factory drilled. Then took a trip to my LGS and started measuring up Weaver single bases, I found that a Weaver 36M #4850 Matte or any 36M with preferred finish looked like it would work. Cost $5.89 Cdn. When I got home I found out they fit the 617 perfectly. On went the Lucid Red Dot. About a month ago I got a 686 Pro, removed the rear sight, same drill pattern, back to the LGS for another Weaver 36M and on went the Bushnell Reflex. This is the result on both.

For a while I was using the rear half of a 2 piece rifle base that fit a Remington 700 as an optic mount on my S&W 686+ or 617. Removed the rear sight and the base fit to the top strap perfectly. Switched to a Weig-a-tinny rail, longer so I could mount a scope when wanted.

Beautiful 617. I also value the option of red dot sights. I have a Venom on mine as well.

Beautiful 617. I wish mine was that polished. I should send it back to S&W but I do enjoy shooting it.

I love my Hogue's as well. They sure make great grips.

Get some DS-10 Speed Loaders for it.

Mine has a C-More 12 MOA dot for steel Challenge.

I can't access their page because they have some problems with the local station and can't work. Sad... I really wanted to complete my jewelry collection with some new products. Of course, I will wait until they can work again, but my friend recommended ordering some jewelry from Black Opal until then. They look pretty nice, and she also told me they have positive energy. I don't believe in these things, but I decided to order them anyway. So now I have a necklace and earrings made of these stones, and they look pretty cool on me. The color just fits me perfectly.

I have Leupold DeltaPoint Pro's in Allchin mounts on my S&W 617 and 648 but just have the Hogue rubber grips. Not near as nice as the wood on yours.
