Being made by Winchester, not CCI. It's all Winchester mfg, just a different headstamp on the case.

AmmoSeek has several different vendors with the 17WSM for sale. Most are Winchester and a couple of Federals. None cheap.

Got a link to that info? Why would they go to a competitor when they've got the biggest rimfire ammo company in the world under the family umbrella?

No. Call them and ask. Federal outsources a lot of stuff. Ultra Match is made by RWS. I just know cuz I know.

First, Steve, that's pretty surprising and disappointing for those excited about another manufacturer getting in the game.

Second, there is so much BS on the internet, those that don't know you will take your post as such. For the rest of us, we don't necessarily know why you know, but know that you know cuz you know.

Right, good point.

Well, we can all look at it this way:

The companies who DON'T make a rifle for the round:

Ruger, Marlin, Remington, Browning, and every European company.

Rifles being made ( of any considerable volume )

Savage ( B-Mag ).

Now, why would ATK direct CCI to tool up and start producing a round for a rifle which no company wants to build for?

Rather, just pay Winchester's fee and have them strike a "F" headstamp.

If the round craters, Federal just doesn't renew the order - there is no loss of investment on the tooling or machines.

Also, CCI still can't keep up with .22lr orders, so why pull resources from that production line?

There really is no logical reason for CCI to build this round.

Shot Show is less than a month away. If Ruger does not bring out a rifle in 17 WSM, the round is dead.

Why doesn't RFC have a list, Sticky, of at least all USA gun mfg's and ammo makers, who is actually a mfg. and who just puts their name on a product. Also who is owned by who. That would seem to be a simple way to thin out misinformation.

I can't speak for others, but I'm way too lazy to do such a list.

Because its not so clear cut. There is a lot of resource sharing.

Look at the 17 HMR; many different brands yet only CCI and Winchester actually load it here in the States.

Hornady doesn't load a single round of rimfire at their facility, yet their name is on 17 Mach 2, 17 HMR, 22 WMR, and now 17 WSM.

That is exactly why I made the suggestion, hoping someone could clear the confusion.

But unless you have inside information, your chart will be wrong because the ammo companies do not publicly share all this info. Mostly so on bulk ammo, match ammo tends to have less confusion.

In short, you would need the master lot coding structure of each manufacturer, then to be able to check the font type to see where it was made.

You will see that Blazer is made in more than one location, yet has the same packaging. The lot coding and font will show you this.

Anyhow, lot variation is more important.

With regards to who is actually making what....
All forums are just like the rest of the Internet. All information should be read with a healthy dose of skepticism, unless there are multiple authoritative sources cited. Forums in particular are full of opinion. Search and find multiple reliable sources, not forum posts.

WM has ammo here again with a 1 box limit per day. I've more than enough but it could be an investment eh?
