I was going through some photos and realized that I have never posted any of these. I really love the wood on this one, and the stock lines with the barrel profile creates a unique look. Can't wait to see what it will look like on a rest.

Gatewood T-Hole Stock -

I have a gloss 36X Leupold that I am going to throw on this one - I may do that tomorrow, if my wife doesn't make me go shopping with her.

VERY nice John. Gatewood builds a really top notch stock. Beautiful fiddleback in that walnut. Looks like a black or claro walnut? Satin finish. Pretty build John!

... Hmmm ...

... simply beautiful figuring ... !

You know, as I get older, I find it fascinating what modern day scientists can replicate in their new-fangled synthetic materials ... LOL

OUCH ! Quit hitting me !

This beauty was built by a well-tenured member here, who used his considerable knowledge and experience to put together a gorgeous combination. His description:

"This rifle has no name, I usually referred to it as "the TeeHole".
The stock is a Gatewood, his prototype for the Teehole design
from a Claro Walnut blank of mine.

The stock was originally fitted for the 17" Lothar Walther barrel, one of a factory custom order by Hornet Products several years ago. The VQ Muzzleweight at 16.5" is too short to fit correctly in the stock. I sent Claude the barrel in order to get the barrel fit as close as possible.

Bolt was done by CPC, bolt return assembly by Rimfire Technologies.
Weigand rail, OEM receiver.

The TG is by Rimfire Technologies. As you can tell by the aftermarket mag
release, there are some non-standard (to RT) parts, but I don't recall
exactly which ones. I'm pretty sure (Skeeter) did the final tuning."

According to the builder, it is one of the best shooting guns he has experienced. I am really anxious to get some range time on it soon.

John

azguy - Thank you for the kind words. Once again, you are correct - Claro it is! I have already chosen a place to photograph a certain Black Walnut build. I think you will be pleased.

Bumper - Thank you, too, for the kind words. I really look forward to meeting you soon. I want to pick your brain on Chargers, as I have never owned nor shot one.

DrHeckel - At the risk of sounding redundant, thank you. I also look forward to the opportunity to meet you soon. I am looking forward to you sharing some pointers on how I can get my targets looking like yours!!!!!!!

hogrider04 - Thank you. I feel like rifles are like our children - each and every one are beautiful. Even a bigger thank you for your time and memories earlier this week. My wife and I are trying to plan a trip up your way to see family - will keep you posted.

Fuzzy - Thanks for the comments. It truly is ironic that with the level of sophistication that exists in modern-day industry - nobody has even come close to rivaling that which Mother Nature creates.

Sincere appreciation to you all -

Very best regards.

John
