Finally had time to get the rifle out today and try and run it again. Great news!! It ran flawlessly. Put around 30 rounds through it without a hiccup. At first I was just shooting to test how it would cycle. Then shot a couple of 5 round groups just to make sure it was good enough for a squirrel killing. Nice work Mike.

Fantastic news. If and when I do this again, I'll ensure the block height is to spec before leaving the shop.

What barrel are you using? Stock? Hogue, maybe? Those are the kind of groups I like to see!

Beyer barrel and a hogue stock. I’ll be putting a volquartsen hammer kit in it next to help the trigger pull.

Nice shooting! I have been following your thread from the beginning, on the sidelines. Do you anticipate another "run" of your bolts? I have no dedicated rifle for .17HM2, but enjoy the caliber in my CZ 452. Were I assured of bolts being available I would assemble the hardware to use one. I believe yours to be superior in conception and results to the VQ bolt.

Thank you. There are still some kinks to work out, but I think it's coming along.

One of my prototypes is with another machinist now. I asked for a quote to make 10 more. I'm uncertain what he'll come back with, but if it's reasonable I do hope to make more.

If they become available, I too would love to give one a home, should make a nice companion to my Volquartsen bolt... although the Power custom heavy bolt handles may get jealous.
