So.. if you are hung up on another stock I say buy all the KIDD goods you can afford and drop it all together in whatever stock you prefer.. now.. if it's a Titan you still can do the rear tang.. and that's good... If assembly of a KIDD has you worried buy a Barreled action.. Do indeed buy the Single Stage or the 2-Stage trigger.
Summation.. Bedding is not mandatory IMO... Quality Barrel and Boolets and Trigger are mandatory.
Agree on the bedding. I used to do rimfire BR with some very high end custom bolt guns. I have since done more with lighter weight sporter bolt guns as well as a couple of Kidd autoloaders. IMO, bedding is way over rated in regard to its contribution to accuracy (rimfire). I once shot some groups with a bolt barreled action in a stock that was not even designed for the action, using tape to hold it in place, and it shot great! Unless there is a substantial bind in the action bedding, or uneven pressure along the barrel, your time is much better spent on the other variables, and 90% of it is the barrel. Consistent ignition, good ammo, good barrel. Way too much good beer to drink to waste a lot of time and money on the stock (aesthetics aside, as a beautiful stock is incredible).

Tony Mele and Joe Chacon did say bedding is not necessary in the former's stocks.

Good to hear from you, sir- the first rifle was my daughter’s first 10-22, in the stock you gave me. She has recently outgrown it, so I paid it forward to dbr65 for his grandson- THANKS AGAIN!!!

Looks to be KIDD OEM.. with the extension drilled/tapped in..or slip fit. I do it often with Ruger OEM's and KIDD OEM's adding my Skulls as the extension or in some cases just a ferule.
