Went to the range today, took both CM-2s.

I had a little unfinished business with the CL-2 scoped

RFC name: COW 54 First name: Stan
Score: 100/120; Class: CL-2 scoped
Rifle: IZHMASH CM-2 Cadet, Ammo: ELEY Precision
Sights: Mueller 8-25
Weather: 72 degrees, wind 5mph blowing from right to left
Excuses: tough target...

Finally!

Great shooting ōystein and Happy Birthday my cold weather friend!

After figuring out that my rear iris was huge for precision shooting, I made some inserts and changed that. Within the first couple of shots the difference was apparent.

The rear aperture is now about 1/3 what it was before. These were shot with a post as I still don't have many front inserts. I only used the smallest rear today because I didn't want to make adjustments again. Still a lack of light down range, so I might have to play with the rear some more. Eye fatigue was creeping in quickly due to lack of light.

I sure am glad there are plenty of good peep sight shooters here helping me out. Without you guys I might still be floundering around trying to figure out what I did wrong!

120/120 on both C2 and C3 irons.

Many thanks for the tips....

Bob

Good shooting there Bob! ...

The frustration has ended hopefully. You can just fine tune 'em to the way you like them.

Nicely done Ken ...

That's a hard target, both the CL-2 and the CL-3 (scoped)

Gathering targets for August.
