Question on Airsoft clone of KAC G36 rail with flip up sights set

Log in to see fewer ads
I was curious if anybody had experience with the airsoft clone (http://www.airsoftsmith.com/store/pr...oducts_id=1447) of the KAC G36 rail with flip up sights set (http://www.knightarmco.com/shop/inde...products_id=42)

Might be a neat lower cost alternative to the real deal to mount on a Marauder/Nomad.

No experience with them, but looks like a nice option to get those sights closer to the bore. Show us some pics if you end up buying the set.

A fella on HKPRO Forum had a used set for sale. (clone of the KAC sights that had been sold on hkparts.net for a limited time) I picked them up for a good price. From corespondence, the measurements of the dovetail attachment points are the same as the Marauder. No makers mark on them, but the concensus is they were made by Classic Army. They worked and held up on a real SL8/G36 sos they should be just fine for a .22. Height of the top of the front sight post of the clone is the same as the Marauder's. They are in transit at this time, when they arrive I will post my findings.

BlackSun,
If the sights pan out, maybe you guys could become a distibutor?

Slowbalt,

I feel like a little kid waiting for Christmas, waiting really sucks!

If they don't pan out on my Marauder, could always sell them to a HK SL8/G36 owner on HKPRO forum

I'll do some checking with a few manufacturers to see if they know where to get these and I'll let you guys know what I find, and at what price they would end up being.

Slowbalt,

The picatinny is 10 slots, each slot is .208 inch wide, from the center of the first slot to the center of the last slot measures 3.550 inch.
