Check out the BIN prices, and THEN look at the seller's pics.

http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/Vie...Item=469392228

The seller's VERY proud of these two rusty Haenel/Flobert RF rifle's with damaged stocks.

As I said: UNBELIEVABLE ! .

They state that they don't know anything about the rifles, so don't ask questions. My one question is: THEN HOW DID YOU ARRIVE AT THAT PRICE??????

Could have made a mistake, adding an extra zero to $300. Or, they could just be optimists and/or jokers too.

The salesperson in me says you can always go down, but never up. You never know what someone is willing to pay until you find out. Go big or go home!

I sent him a question anyway. I would not pay $50 for both of those. Parts cannot be found, so making either of them work is nil, so they MIGHT be able to be parts guns, if you have one or the other of them yourself.

At least he put a starting bid at $100 and no reserve. I would not lay the $100 for them.

I would pay 100.00 for a Winchester 290 before either of those conversation pieces ...

My dealer has a Winchester 1904 (Boys Rifle) clean but with a bad bore for $135

It seems like a bargain compared to that junk.

The term tomato stakes comes to mind instantly. If your tomatoes do not get very big that is...

Well, it does have entertainment value as long as no one gets hurt I suppose...

I would be hard pressed to offer $30.

Fishing with rather poor bait. However, a sucker is born every minute....

.

The puffery isn't limited to gunbroker - that is, after all, simply a host site.

As always, there's both good folks & idiots almost everywhere you look.
