I heard a rusty playground swing yesterday. First red-winged blackbird of the year. Heard him, but never saw him.
I did not hear his call this morning during chores, so maybe he has flown farther north?

Prayers for all who are ailing, on the mend, and facing surgery. Prayers too for the well, because, well, a little goodness can't be a bad thing.

That's one big lens.
Contemplating getting a 400mm lens so I don't have so much mass to swing around.

It's sunny (32 degrees) day, the plans are to go to the park to see what kind of trouble we can get into .

Life is good!

I went to bed early before the race was over. I checked the end of the race via my recording. Wow. I know they make these cars survivable but flipping and pouring fuel out on fire is a bit of deep into the danger zone. Every one likes action but no one wants to see a driver hurt.

Still fighting the crud. Drove to work on unplowed roads. I was making pretty good time until I hit the superslab. Nine or so semi trucks going slow. I went from 50 to 35. I waited a bit and started passing them as this slow march wasn't picking up the pace. Thought about that Daytona footage as I passed. Didn't want to get sideways and in the ditch.

I was productive for 1/2 day but I was dragging toward the end. Came home hoping to snow blow before UPS showed up as my driveway was pretty nasty this morning. Mr. Brown was already here and gone. Sorry. Snow blowed and then went back out for gas as I was down to two gallons in the tank. Not acceptable. I am going to burn one getting to work.

Gig, taking care of hubby is Job One.

I hope I'm up to working all day tomorrow.

Sent a donation to the Second Amendment Foundation. I'm still trying to get them to stop sending me three letters with slightly different addresses each begging cycle. A waste of resource.

That's a really pristine Ruger, Don. Some collector should go nutz for that one.
--

Went out & fetched a half gallon of caldo de res from my fav. Mexican meat mercado to sustain the bride & I for the day. They have a grill that opens at 7A and service a lot of tradesmen for both breakfast & lunch. We've already consumed half of it. Yum. Have been advised some friends are also down w/one or more varieties of the crud that's been making the rounds. I'm feeling much improved, but still hacking some. Not going to push it. Cat naps are in.

High 40's now, wind N 16 G 28 and raining w/a bit more gusto than earlier. True Texas weather; it was 80 yesterday afternoon!

I never realized that lantern men were into mimosa's, cow. The bride likes them too.

What kind of surgery?

I get on the MedCenter elevator and the guy with a punky looking 10 yr old says cute but she's diseased. Kid lets out a couple gurgley barks and I hold my breath until we get out and I'm away from their stream of air in the hallway. Glad he warned me sorta but a bit late IMO.

Picked up a couple meaty fox soup bones on the cheap, or so I thought. Next time I'll make sure I'm looking at the price and not the weight. sheesh!

Snow sorta stopped and a bit less breezy, no whiteouts here @ 13˚.

Ortho. Right Foot. Remove two screws after fusing joints. No Big Deal, but I want them gone. I've come to the conclusion that any metal in your bones, is too much. I'll have to live with a bit, as part of a broken screw is too deeply imbedded in my heel.

Cardiology saw me spur of the moment. Gave me a real going over. Walked out with a clearance letter.

Taco Tuesday at the VA cafeteria.

Then I went to a third hospital and had a CT Scan done on the foot.

It's a bit firmer now, only dependant on the CT Scan results. I need 30% Fusion in the pinned joint.

March 30th, a Monday for the Surgery.

Good afternoon/evening!

A bit overcast for most of the day, sun came out just recently.

Got most of my blackberry bed tilled yesterday evening, well, first pass anyway. I want to add more sand and make another run.

Is that like an 80% firearm where you do the rest Don?
Good news with cardio.

Rented Midway and, some big city detective hunting cop killers that made me think of NYC current events.
