Got out to the range a few more times. Yesterday looked like the last decent weather day for this month so I went for a bit in the afternoon. Just a light but pretty cold breeze from the front. Only shot 2 targets before I got too cold.

Shot a 200-15x and then a 197-7x. The 197 was going ok until the last target when I put 3 in a nice tight little group in the 9 ring, not sure what shifted there, me or the breeze.

The 200-15x is my new personal best for the 50 yard target. I did go another 0.1mm bigger with the front aperture.

50-3x, 50-4x, 50-4x, 50-4x
Anschutz 64 mpr, RWS R100
McRee chassis, front bipod, rear sandbag
45 degrees, partly sunny, cold light shifting breeze from the front

That is a very nice target Ken! You are improving with every range trip.

Thanks Jack, I feel like I made progress this year. The public range I go to is open every day in October and November, so I have been going as much as possible the last two months. After this month I might only get a day or two in until it warms up again.

Try the A23/5 (all black bull) targets. Im thinking they will serve you better than those A23/5R ones.

I do believe the all black would be better at 50 also.

I have to agree. I have a huge stock of the tan centered ones...and at 25 yards they are fine...at 50 my vision blurs them. I wish I had the all black
